“Modified conveyors more affordable to growers”

The SB 10 conveyor system offered by SB Machinerie, has been on the market for quite a few years, having the reputation for being both portable and adaptable, it has been installed in some nice projects.  More recently, by adding a new variant; the SB10 EPC without the axles and wheels, the company can now offer options that make the machine more affordable.

The SB Machinerie conveyor belts are being distributed by Ball Seed, and are being used by various growers: pot plants, flower growers and also the new developing MJ market. Amongst the projects realized, customers can reduce cost by having an immovable, or telescopic option. Now the assortment has broadened with the potable conveyor – produced without the axles and wheels. “They can be set up on tables, tripods – even on the ground. And there’s no limit to the length of the conveyor line – just add a power unit”, says Brigitte Boulerice with SB Machinerie. “It’s a more affordable option, bringing the technique in reach of more growers.”

“The system is still stackable and adjustable – just like the existing telescopic system”, Bridgette shows. “There’s two different power units available: one upward and one horizontal. Then there’s the wagon available to transport the conveyors, and there’s a rack to make the transportation of containers from one location to another easier. This can be from one location to another, or from the greenhouse to the truck.”

All products are being distributed by Ball Seeds, the official North-American partner of the company. The system will be shown at the Canadian Greenhouse Conference in Niagara Falls next month, where SB Machinerie will participate at booth 663.
