…have a fall festival

What do you do with 17,000 garden mums?

This year was the 28th annual MumFest celebration in Barberton, Ohio (USA), home of Aris Horticulture. The company has donated the garden mum cuttings each year since 1990. This year’s creation features a total of 17,000 garden mums, including some hardy Dendranthema Igloo mums from Must Have Perennials.

The theme of the garden’s design is a tribute to Rock and Roll. Attendance over the years has grown to about 40,000+ visitors. Of course there were loads of garden mums available for sale, too.

Why garden mums and Barberton, Ohio? Because it is the home of corporate headquarters for Aris Horticulture and it is the birthplace of the Yoder brand of chrysanthemums originally bred by the company.

Today, Aris carries all garden mums in the Belgian Mum, Mystic Mum and Yoder Mum/Aster brands as Pull & Pack and 50-strip product forms, including unrooted Igloo mums.
