Colombian rose grower Milagro has been shaking things up this year

Plenty of things have changed at Colombian rose grower Milagro over the last year. Next to refreshing their brand, they became exclusive supplier of Explorer in Colombia and they started growing ranunculus.

Exclusive supplier
Milagro is the exclusive supplier of Explorer, “This means that we are the only ones who can grow this variety in Colombia”, explains Mauricio Danies. “In Russia this is an advantage, because Explorer is one of the most demanded red rose varieties. Worldwide sales are growing as more and more people are getting to experience our Explorer.”

Ranunculus
For several years, Milagro has been experimenting with ranunculus and recently, they put the first varieties on the market commercially. “It is a very hard and sensitive product to grow and now, we found that we have reached a great point regarding quality. Now, we can be considered as one of the largest ranunculus producers in Colombia”, says Mauricio. And more varieties are about to come. “We are trying out several varieties and soon we will start seeing new products from this test area.”

Refreshed brand
You might have had to look twice to find Milagro this year at their trusted spot at the FlowersExpo. But, they could not be recognized on their traditional black decor, this time around they are using a different color. Since a couple of months ago, they have refreshed their brand and changed the color of their image. “Over the years, black lost its impact. Therefore, we went another direction and went for something different. We still wanted to maintain our elegant and clean look, but with our own specific color; green with blue hues. It all came with changes internally. Lately, we have improved even more on the exceptional quality of our products. We’ve done this while at the same time introducing new ecological practices and different innovative ways of controlling sanitary problems. We are eager to express this with our new refreshed brand.”

IFTF Vijfhuizen
Milagro will again exhibit at the IFTF in Vijfhuizen, the Netherlands, this year (from November 7-9). So if you are looking for this farm, look for the blue-greenish booth filled with roses and of course some ranunculus. Or, you can just check their booth number, which is A4.2.
