"Some years ago, we couldn’t sell pot roses in the winter and we needed to empty the greenhouses. But things changed. Now, December is a month with a filled greenhouse", says rose breeder Rosa Eskelund of Roses Forever who also owns Rosa ApS. Soon, the greenhouse of this Danish potted mini rose nursery will be filled with Eskelund's white, rose and red Infinity potted roses.

At this time, the preparations for Christmas and New Year's at Rosa Aps are in full swing. "The requests for our Infinity roses increases. For Christmas, our white ‘Infinity’ and red ‘King of Infinity’ is in high demand and for New Year's, the white, baby rose and pink Infinity."

Characteristics
According to Eskelund, one of the reasons that makes the roses stand out is the vase life. "It is the most long lasting pot rose for indoor use and it has very big well filled flowers, it can be categorized as a luxury rose." Another reason she mentions is that the addition of colors to the range makes it a more attractive line to the retailers.
The Infinity line consists of 7 different colors: Clockwise: Infinity White, Princess of Infinity/ baby rose, Jinfinity/Yellow, King of Infinity/Red, Pink Infinity, Infinity Evergreen/Green, Queen of Infinity Syn Jiafinity / Salmon.
Year-round crop
The increase in demand during winter time, makes this line a year-round crop. "Yellow ‘Jinfinity’ together with the new ‘Queen of Infinity’, for example is perfect for Easter and springtime. The red ‘King of Infinity’ is next to Christmas also very nice for summertime. The white, baby rose and pink Infinities are perfect for Mother’s Day and Valentine's day where we see an increase in demand for these colors."

Outdoors
Next to indoor decoration, the Infinity roses are also suitable for big pots on the terrace. "Also here, it will flower again and again the whole season."
