Haim Rosenblum, Hishtil

“Herbs should be an everyday product”

During Flower Trials 2017 Hishtil launched the 'Cascata' series - “Cascata is the Italian word for waterfall, this corresponds well with the trailing growth habit of some of our herbs, and gave us the idea to ensemble those herbs into a series”, says Haim Rosenblum, Marketing and Sales Division Manager of Hishtil.

Not only culinary
According to Haim, the collection of herbs not only meets culinary purposes, they are also ornamentals with multiple uses. “They can be used for ground covering, hanging baskets, terrace side covering and vertical walls’, says Haim. The latest introduction to the series is Thymus citriodorus 'Cascata Lemonade' which is a unique cascading Thymus which tastes and smells like lemonade. At the moment, the series contains eight products: Persicaria odorata (Vietnamese Coriander), Rosmarinus officinalis 'Haifa', Satureja douglasii 'Indian Mint', Thymus herba-barona, Thymus citriodorus 'Lemonade', Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Jiaogulan), Lippia dulcis and Mentha arvensis 'Banana'.
