US: AFE research pre-proposals due by June 1

AFE is now calling for research pre-proposal applications for 2018-2019 funding, due no later than June 1st.



The primary research funding priorities are relevant to all segments of the floral industry:
  • Botrytis Control and Management
  • Thrips Control and Management
  • Postharvest Technology
  • Production Technology
  • Advanced Breeding Technology, including CRISPR

For the current 2017-2018 cycle, the Endowment is funding nearly $325,000 in research.

Research projects can last from one to three years and any reasonable but justifiable budget will be considered.

Final research reports from previously funded AFE projects are available online, and a list of currently funded research is also available.
