PickOntario represents Ontario growers at Canada Blooms

The 21st annual Canada Blooms will take place March 10-19, 2017 at the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place in Toronto.

PickOntario represents the flower growers of Ontario and promotes the flowers they grow. These growers produce over 1,000 varieties of cut, potted and outside bedding plants in their greenhouses across Ontario.

"This initiative aims to engage and educate consumers about Ontario’s floriculture,” says Dejan Kristan, Marketing Director for PickOntario. “It is important to know what types of flowers are grown in Ontario so that you can support local businesses and the economy, and buy fresh, Ontario-cut flowers and potted plants."

PickOntario activities at Canada Blooms include:
  • 3,000 square foot booth: Check out PickOntario’s booth directly between ‘The Home Show’ and ‘Canada Blooms’.
  • Floral Market: Purchase fresh flowers from these 13 Ontario growers; Aldershot Greenhouse, Northend Gardens, Ravensbergen Greenhouses, Foliera, Cosmic Plants, Harster Greenhouses Inc., Van Geest Brothers LTD., Vanzanten Greenhouses, Rosa Flora, Colourful Gardens, Orchid Greens, Kralt, and Bayview Flowers Ltd.
  • Flower Crown Bar and Tutorial: Watch and learn as flower experts show their tips and tricks to build the perfect flower crown. Guests are invited to create their own and enjoy! $5 DIY, $15 professionally made.
