Greenhouse Business Management course, 31 May - 2 June:

Russian forum takes advantage of Dutch horticultural expertise

In order to help investors and agricultural entrepreneurs gain more experience on how to exploit large scale greenhouse complexes in a challenging but interesting upcoming market, Vostock Capital will be organizing a special Greenhouse Business Management short course event in The Netherlands from 31 May to June 2 this year.

The event is organized with the aim to connect investment initiators and decision-makers of large scale greenhouse projects with international experts active in the field of greenhouse technology, project development, energy management, primary and secondary processing facilities and agro-logistics.

Dutch expertise

Russia is one of the most discussed countries for the development of large scale high tech greenhouse complexes. Organizer Vostock Capital believes that the synergy and knowledge exchange with a country like Holland is of paramount importance to gain momentum and use the opportunities at their fullest potential. "The Westland area is the number one green economic zone of Holland, which has a huge positive experience in this", explained Irina Stepanova. "Participants of the event will have an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and establish contacts with other business representatives who are already active in this industry."

Asia & CIS

While there will be a big focus on the opportunities in Russia, the event is open to participation of other agricultural business investment initiators and horticultural investors from different countries too. "We welcome participants from CIS countries, Europe and Asia. Representatives from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine and Holland confirmed participation in technical visits and the conference program."

Onsite visits and panel discussions

The three-day event will focus on 4 areas of greenhouse management; vegetables, flowers, lettuce and berries. A selection of international companies from Holland, Israel, Italy and Spain will present their experience via case studies of production development in these crops. Next to this, a total of ten onsite visits will be made to leading vegetable, flower, berry and lettuce greenhouse facilities in the Netherlands.

Furthermore, the extensive networking and discussion platform will feature several interesting debates on top management of both Russian and international greenhouse facilities. Next to this special attention will be paid to energy management and power generation. A number of experts will share their views on OPEX improvement, power generation and transportation. With the help of case study presentations, efficient business management strategies will be shared to inform participants how to achieve profitable greenhouse business management, primary and secondary processing and infrastructure development.

Investors, growers, entrepreneurs, greenhouse builders and other suppliers to the agro and horticultural industry who are interested in participating in the event are welcome to contact Forum Director Elvira Sakhabutdinova.
