"Roses with nostalgic shapes much sought after these days"

'Rosa Loves Me' is the new line of cut roses with a nostalgic garden shape. This type of cut roses is much sought after these days and was successfully presented to invited customers last week in Naaldwijk, Holland.

These roses are grown by Molo River Roses, Kenya and the first two varieties from the line were shown in Naaldwijk. Rosa Loves Me With Heart and Soul (right) and Rosa Loves Me Tender (left) were the two varieties on display. After a long period of selection, these varieties are now being planted in substantial numbers and the first commercial flower deliveries are taking place.

After the hybridising and first selection rounds in Denmark, an extensive period of selection and testing in the Netherlands followed. After several years the first cuttings were released to the grower in Kenya for their own local tests. Danish breeder Rosa Eskelund said: "We are now ready and I am very glad that the Rosa Loves Me varieties are now seen in exclusive flower shops around Europe".
