US (NH): New environmentally controlled growing space for Pleasant View Gardens

Pleasant View Gardens of Louden, New Hampshire recently completed a free-standing gothic greenhouse manufactured by LINX, a commercial division of Nexus Greenhouses, Northglenn, Colorado. The structures create an environmentally controlled growing space for 6 to 8 weeks during the peak spring and early summer production window.

The LINX greenhouses are naturally ventilated utilizing roll-up sidewall curtains that extend the entire length of both sides. The design also integrated watering booms and hot water aluminium fin heat suspended from the trussing system with primary heat delivered through a plastic tubing system underground with hot water supplied by a bio mass boiler.

The increased controlled growing space provided by a LINX greenhouse allows for additional crop rotations and utilized space that is in close proximity to the main production greenhouses. During the design stage material handing was taken into consideration as the roll-up sides allow for the greenhouse to be accessible from all sides.

LINX has been successful nationwide with this style of greenhouse with variations depending upon the region and the individual crop requirements.
