Sneak Peek FlowerTrials 2015

The Flower Trials will be held from 9 till 12 June. At this three-day event, 49 breeders at 30 locations in Westland and Aalsmeer in The Netherlands and Rheinland Westfalen in Germany will show their pot and bedding innovations, creative concepts and a wide range of crop assortments. In this final edition we present one highlight of each of the 6 participating German breeders.

Dümmen Orange: Confetti Garden

In the Confetti Garden two or three different petunia varieties are grown into a singular planting, thereby creating a festival of colours. For 2016, the company presents new colours and combinations.

Elsner pac Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH: Candy Flowers

Enriches the Candy Flowers series with a new colour, flowering all summer long.

Geranien Endisch / Gartenbau Bongartz: Pet Boom! Petunia

2015 promises to be an exceptional year. Our novelties of Pelargonium and Petunia are impressing not only with clear, powerful colours, but are striking in the early stage of flowering and possess a durable growing character. For example, our new Endisch Petunia: Pet Boom! Vein spotted yellow. The strange, but remarkable colour of the flower survives in hot periods as does the body structure on rainy days. Good outdoor performance. Judge and visit us at the FlowerTrails.

Kientzler Jungpflanzen: TrioMio Sunsatia

The colourful TrioMio Sunsatia excel in their uniform habit and early flower performance. New colour combinations with Nemesia Karoo or Lobelia Lobelix complement the successful assortments of TrioMio Sunsatia.

Selecta Klemm: Dianthus Pillow Red + Pillow Purple

New types of garden carnation are the compact growing varieties, Pillow Red and Pillow Purple with filigree flowers. Pillow varieties have very good branching and a flat, mat-like growth habit. The two varieties in red with dark stars and pink with dark stars, are suitable for pots and baskets as well as a ground cover. The flowers with an interesting star-pattern also impress with an excellent vase life and continuous flowering. Pillow garden carnations are hardy and prefer a sunny to half-shaded location.

Westhoff: Chameleon

Chameleon marks an industry-first for Calibrachoa breeding. The plants continually change throughout the season, reacting to light levels, day length and other seasonal factors. Chameleon provides consumers with a unique blend of colors on a single plant.
