To someone passionate about rare blooms:

US (CT): J&L orchids for sale

There are many women named after flowers. There is Iris, Lily, and Rose, to name a few. But how many women can say a flower was named after them.

Trisetella Cordeliae, an orchid discovered in Peru, is named after Cordelia Head. Head has been to Peru and discovered several different species of orchids in the jungles.

She discovered the Trisetella Cordeliae in Tingo Maria, Peru. She brought it to J&L Orchids, the small flower business she owns with Marguerite Webb and Lucinda Winn.

J&L Orchids, located in a quiet corner of Easton, specializes in rare and unusual orchids. The three women have been cultivating rare orchids there for 37 years.

Even with success, there comes a time to wind life down and Webb, Winn, and Head are offering J&L for sale.

“We have been doing it a long time, and we all want to retire,” Winn said. “But we want to pass it on to someone who has equal passion and realizes what a rare gift this is.”
