AU: Concern for Eton orchids during cold snap

To call Heinz Eichhorn an orchid lover is an understatement. His Eton property is home to thousands of orchids of all shapes and sizes.

His love affair with orchids initially budded more than 50 years ago when he grew up in Europe and he says once it is in your blood there's no going back.

"[Orchids] are definitely like babies because they need just as much attention and they need feeding on a regular basis," Heinz said.

When the mercury dropped below zero in Eton earlier this week, Heinz was worried for his 'babies'.
