DiPel Pro DF now effective against light brown apple moths
Nufarm Americas Inc. announced the new label registration for its biological insecticide, DiPel Pro DF, for use on light brown apple moths that includes California.
DiPel Pro DF, the most widely used insecticide in the world, can be applied to a variety of ornamentals. It is effective in controlling more than 30 species of lepidopterous insects, including tent caterpillar and various bagworms, looper, tobacco budworms, armyworms and, now, the light brown apple moth.
DiPel Pro DF has a dry flowable formulation that is dust-free and easy to measure and mix, meaning it takes less time to apply and offers increased flexibility.
“DiPel PRO DF plays a crucial role in pesticide management programs for greenhouse and ornamental operators,” Rick Fletcher, technical service manager at Nufarm Americas, said. “This new label use provides an opportunity that applicators hadn’t had previously for controlling the invasive, plant-destroying pest that is the light brown apple moth.”
