"Canada: "Rosa Flora's Otto Bulk loves his job"

For Otto Bulk, retirement couldn’t keep him away from the business he started 37 years ago from the ground up. “Flowers are always nice,” said Bulk, founder of Rosa Flora in Dunnville. “When you see plants, it’s always nice to see.”

Despite retiring a few years ago, Bulk still shows up for work everyday. Even though he leaves work early most days, no one will ever complain. His years of devotion to the business have granted him that special perk.

“I don’t mind looking around and giving advice,” Bulk said. “I’ll walk around and check things up a bit and talk to the foreman.”

For the most part, though, he leaves the business to his grown kids – Josh Bulk and Arielle and Ralph DeBoer – to run.
