Germany: Berghof-Gärtnerei busy with holly

Berghof-Gärtnerei specializes in the cultivation of winterberry (Ilex verticillata), a type of holly. Jürgen Urselmann helms the company, after taking over from his parents. Between mid-October and mid-December, it's the peak period for the company, because that's when the fruit-bearing holly branches are cut and sold. During this time, Jürgen Urselmann regularly sells his holly branches at auction in Herongen. He sells his products exclusively through Veiling Rhein-Maas, and closely cooperates with the auction.
