FloraHolland defines 2016-17 plant clock priorities

Greater satisfaction about pricing, purchasing power and the range on the plant clocks are what Royal FloraHolland and growers and customers are working on.

Royal FloraHolland's Strengthen the plant clock sounding board group consists of ten customers and seven growers. The group recently defined the priorities for 2016 and 2017. High on the wish list is achieving 100% representative product photos and reliable information on the clock.

Other priorities are the following.
  • Analyse the possibilities and consequences of decreased price transparency (price from the clock).
  • Introduction of a withdrawal price is high on the sounding board's wish list. This should primarily increase the range of the clock as the supplier runs less risk when introducing new or exclusive products.
  • Multi-transaction auctioning in Naaldwijk and renovating the G auction room (with its associated image auctioning plants) in Aalsmeer remain priorities for this year.
  • Greater emphasis on a regular, wider clock range.
