India: Bangaru Telangana state government invests in greenhouses

The establishment of Greenhouses/polyhouses is a flagship program of the Bangaru Telangana state government, with the following major objectives.

Enhancing productivity per unit area.
Promotion of high value horticulture crops under polyhouses.
Year round production of flower & vegetable crops.

The scheme is implemented with 75% subsidy in the entire state for vegetables and flowers. So far 5 companies have enrolled and 24 companies were registered under the program for installation of greenhouses/polyhouses.
