March 3, 2016:

Photo impression of the British Plant Fair

Today the British Plant Fair opens its doors. This one day event gathers together British growers and is aimed at bringing together nurseries and retailers under one roof to showcase the best of currently available British nursery stock. It seems to be the only show in the UK where garden centre buyers will find a vast range of garden plants available to order on the day and all from British growers. All the marketing is aimed at the retail trade and focuses on drawing buyers in to buy stock on the day. It is timed at the beginning of March when retail outlets are looking to stock their plant areas. The show attracts visitors from the whole spectrum of plant retailers from niche retail nurseries to the highest profile multiples.

This morning some of the exhibitors posted photos on their twitter pages. Below a short overview.
