Netherlands: Counterfeit fc 519 in circulation

Recently, counterfeit packaging of the multi-use export flower box (fc519) has been encountered in circulation at FloraHolland. This packaging is primarily used to transport chrysanthemums and lilies.

This threatens the entire horticultural chain with direct and financial damage. For one thing, the packaging is of poor quality and falls apart quite quickly. As a user you run a risk of financial damage if this counterfeit packaging ends up in your stock.

The counterfeit packaging is probably also being used outside the Royal FloraHolland channels. In particular, if you do business in Eastern Europe, you run a risk of encountering it.

No deposit paid for counterfeit packaging fc519
To put an end to this fraud, Royal FloraHolland will no longer pay a deposit for counterfeit packaging fc 519, starting immediately. If counterfeit packaging is brought to Royal FloraHolland or the Rhein Maas Auction, it will be removed from circulation. By doing this, further spreading is prevented, and the damage done to the entire horticultural sector is limited.

The counterfeitpackaging fc519 is a poor copy of the original. There are two obvious differences when you compare the original to the counterfeit:

QR code
The QR code on the lid is not placed in the middle on the counterfeit. There is also a visible seam in the bottom (which you can feel when you put your hand through the grip).

Color
The color is very different from the original. It is clearly a much lighter shade of purple.

Do you suspect that you have some counterfeit packaging? Or have you received an offer to buy packaging with code 519? Then contact Customer Services.
