Claire Brown shortlisted for the Green award for the Toast of Surrey awards

"UK: "I do something different from the rest of the flower market"

The proprietor of a sustainable cut flowers business has said it would be an “honour” to win a Toast of Surrey award.

Claire Brown runs Plant Passion which grows fresh scented flowers from a farm in East Clandon, the flowers are then sold to members of the public, florists and brides-to-be.

Plant Passion is nominated for the Green Award along with Johnston Sweepers and KRR Prosteam at this year's Toast of Surrey Awards.

“I do something different from the rest of the flower market, 95% of flowers are imported, I want to have flowers which have a natural scent, mine do not need to be chilled,” Mrs Brown said.
