New Dutch branch spearheads Sudlac expansion
Sudlac office in the Netherlands
“We see many opportunities worldwide for our assortment of reliable, fail-safe coatings for greenhouses,” says export manager, Jorien Plak-Schouten. “This new office is an important development in the company’s growth strategy. It gives us more presence in the important Dutch market and a base from which to expand our sales team and offer faster service.” Not only does it bring Sudlac closer to the Dutch market, it is conveniently located to the airport Schiphol and the Netherlands is a main hub for economic distribution into other European countries.
Chemical engineer, Bruno Crosnier Leconte bought the company in 2004 and has been driving innovation and growth ever since. “In those days our white wash product was still called Serra l’Ombre so to make it convenient for export markets we renamed it Eclipse. I also employed a Dutch export manager and, within ten years, we more than tripled our sales of exports,” he says. “Continual improvement and innovation has led to the products we sell today. Rather than offer a wide range of products, we produce a few very trustworthy paints. We are confident that growers around the world find them reliable, regardless of where they are applied,” says Bruno.
Export manager, Jorien agrees: “Over the years we have gained so much experience and our products have become so well established that a distributor can confidently include them in their assortment. We keep to a simple, tried and trusted range of quality products so it’s easy for the distributor to recommend one to a grower.”
“We see many more opportunities and we are looking for new dealers worldwide, to further extend our distribution network,” says Jorien. “We will invest heavily in sales and marketing to further establish our name in the market over the coming years.”
