Canada: White spring for Ontario

After a fairly "easy" winter across much of Ontario, the Polar Vortex is expected to impact the province later this week, causing temperatures to drop to potential record lows.

"The final days of March will feel more like April with above seasonal temperatures, but by the time we get into April, it will feel more like March, even February," warns Weather Network meteorologist Dr. Doug Gillham.

Temperatures in the teens with 20-30 mm of rain are forecast for much of southern Ontario Thursday, while sub-zero temperatures and 10-20 cm of snow are forecast for the north; a tale of two seasons certainly describes Ontario’s forecast over the next few days.
