The atmosphere is good at the exhibition. Visitors are interested in the new varieties of the breeders, and the exhibitors are meeting their clients. "My growers are situated all over Ukraine, so this exhibition is a good opportunity to meet them all at once", says one of the breeding companies exhibiting at the show.
The FloralDaily.com editorial team is also present at the trade fair to make a full photo report. This will be published on Monday 18 April, but below, you can already see a preview.

Dmytro Derguz and Nonna Sirymak of Epicentr, a company with 55 DIY stores with large garden departments in Ukraine, and Warja Abrosimova of Dekker Chrysanten. Abrosimova represents the Dutch growers of Dekker Chrysanthemums. Over the last 3 to 4 years, the company did not participate in the show, but now they're back. "It is a good opportunity to maintain our relationships here in Ukraine. As we haven't been exhibiting at the show for a couple of years, we see that the visitors are attracted to some of our varieties that are on the market for several years now. They love new varieties and for them, these are new", says Abrosimova.

Miroslaw Aleksander Wojtas of Hortipol and Rob Oudshoorn of Deleeuw Flowerbulb Group, who supplies Hortipol with several bulb varieties. Hortipol has been active on the Ukrainian market since 2003. They sell plant material and bulbs to the Ukrainian growers and gained a large market share over the last years and especially in alstroemerias. "90 percent of the alstroemerias that are being cultivated here in Ukraine are supplied by Hortipol", says Wojtas.

Alexander Brjuhins of Rosen Tantau and Stein Schouten of Florist Breeding. Rosen Tantau's first rose delivery was in 1996, and since 1998 they've been active on the Russian market. At the show, Brjuhins recognizes that people are looking for new varieties and that they are very interested in the roses with clear and contrasting colors. Their yellow and red rose for example (on the right side of the picture) is still in its test phase and caught the eye of many visitors. "The colors are very contrasting", says Brjuhins.

Ronald Olsthoorn of Arcadia Chrysanten and John Elstgeest of Deliflor. At the show, their new chrysanthemum variety, called the Magnum, takes center stage at the Deliflor booth. "It's only been on the market for three weeks now, and at the exhibition it is attracting the attention of many visitors", says Elsgeest. The variety's grower, Olsthoor, is also pleased with the appearance and growing habits of the flower. "Weekly, we produce 2,500 of these chrysanthemums and we are planning to double the production this fall", he says.

There is large interest for the demonstration given by floral designers.
