Veiling Rhein-Maas: General information on cut flowers import

The early Easter period had a positive effect on the marketing situation of cut flowers from abroad in March. Bulb flowers in particular benefited and achieved very satisfactory prices.

As a result of the weather conditions, daffodils from the UK came on the market very early this year, leading to increased demand in the week before Easter. The supply and demand ratio for the other cut flowers from Italy, Israel and Turkey did not show any peculiarities, except that demand dropped considerably after Easter. The marketing situation for decorative greens at the auction clock, of which Veiling Rhein-Maas offers a large assortment, developed remarkably positively.

Here you will find an extensive report on the first quarter's developments at Veiling Rhein-Maas.
