Roughly estimated there are more than 3,000 cultivated varieties of peonies. The peony blooms until late in the spring and is appreciated for its large, colourful and fragrant flowers. They bloom best in a sunny spot. A characteristic of the flower is its unique flowering period. The flower starts in a small bud and will slowly bloom into its full glory. Traditionally the peony is often used at weddings.

Pillow Talk (pink)
Pillow Talk was introduced in 1974 and won a golden medal from the American Peony Society in 1994. This flower has shiny, soft flower petals that seem to blossom endlessly in the flower head.
Madame Claude Tain (white)
The Madame Claude Tain is pure white with a cream coloured heart and is lightly fragrant. The experienced growers cut the flower at exactly the right time. This way, they enable the flower bud to come into bloom at the customer.
Command Performance (fuchsia)
This peony has huge and fully filled fuchsia red flower petals. The flower buds are large and the flower petals fan out to a magnificently large size. When in full bloom, the Command Performance can easily reach up to 20cm in diameter.
