NL: Prize winning rose Avalanche+ Gold at Keukenhof

SK Roses won the 2016 VGB Quality Award with their Rosa gr. Avalanche+ Gold. The VGB Quality Award has been established to increase awareness for the commercial value of the flowers’ quality and to highlight examples of suppliers who have delivered extraordinary quality in services and products.

This year’s event took place at the Keukenhof in Lisse. The VGB Award is the biggest Rose show in Holland where Rose growers battle for this prestigious prize. In this year’s event about three hundred growers competed for the VGB Award, where normally only one hundred growers participate.

The crop is planted in 2015. The roses can be delivered in a variety of heights and packaging options.

Rose nursery SK Roses holds the MPS-GAP certificate. They keep track of the amount of pesticides used every day, the maintenance of their machines and the way they arrange their cultivation. This allows them to work in an organised way.
