“The effect of water hammer has been a concern of our customers for years. To address this issue, we designed Water Hammer Arrestor Kits that include everything you need and are easy to install,” explains Lela Kelly, Dosatron’s Vice President and Horticulture Specialist. “Water hammer is defined as a pressure surge or wave caused when a fluid in motion is forced to stop or change directions suddenly. If you are using quick closing solenoid valves, we recommend using a Water Hammer Arrestor Kit.”
For optimum installation, the Water Hammer Arrestor kits include a stainless steel water hammer arrestor, tee, elbow, nipples, union, and Teflon tape. They are available for pipe sizes ¾”, 1”, 1 ½”, and 2”.
