NL: Asbestos off, solar panels on at carnation nursery Zwinkels

"The barns at carnation nursery Zwinkels in Honselersdijk, the Netherlands, are up to date again!" according to Raymond Mauritz of Reytec. "The previous asbestos roofs have been removed and discarded. We’ve replaced them with sandwich insulation panels in combination with solar panels."

Raymond says that the renovation has gone very well and thanks to the sunny weather of recent days, the solar panels have immediately proved their use.

Subsidy
In 2024 all asbestos roofs must be replaced. For this reason there are currently attractive subsidies to remove asbestos. Both individuals and businesses can apply for these starting with asbestos roofs with a minimum size of 35m2. The subsidy is €4.50 per m2 with a maximum of €25,000 per address. Reytec is a company that removes asbestos roofs and replaces them with sandwich insulation panels and solar panels.
