FloraHolland focus group wants better information at the clock

Together with growers and buyers, Royal FloraHolland is working in a dedicated focus group on strengthening the plant clock. One important focus of attention is greatly improving the supply information at the clock. Another one is making sure that each lot is accompanied by a product photo.

The purchasing process could also be simplified and the price-setting made more optimal and stable, in the focus group's opinion.

Concrete steps that FloraHolland is taking include:
  • Renovating the work stations in auction room G (Aalsmeer) with built-in terminals, screens and keyboards.
  • New software: four clocks can be displayed concurrently on the screen, insight is provided into the clock supply, and a signal is given when the marked lot is auctioned.
  • Research into technical adjustments to make EDF-entries easier.
The progress with the multi-transaction auctioning trial is also being evaluated by the focus group.
