Summery sunflowers: Sun King or Teddy Bear?

The sunflower is highlighted on the Flower Agenda in weeks 30 - 32. The popular summer-blooming flower has many varieties, available from the Florists Clock in Naaldwijk and Eelde.

Are you curious about how sunflowers are cultivated? Royal FloraHolland created a photo collage at the sunflower nursery of Kees Tanis in Ouddorp.

From Sunrich orange to double-bloomed Teddy Bear
There are so many varieties of sunflowers, differing in size, colour and number of stems. They are available all year round, but are most requested by consumers in the summer. From June through October, the supply is extremely broad. The range is clearly visible at the Florists Clocks in Eelde and Naaldwijk.
