UK: BPPC tests autumn spectral filters

An autumn trial investigating the use of spectral filters (films) on nurseries was set up in week 34, and some differences can now be seen in the number of open flowers, in the various growing areas. Plug plants of eight species were transplanted into 6-packs and set down in five treatment areas, with the aim to achieve a marketable plant by week 46. Cyclamen were transplanted earlier, in week 22.
