November 3 at IFTF:

Porta Nova shares results from large-scale cut rose trial

Philips puts rose cultivation in the spotlight at this year’s International Floricultural Trade Fair (IFTF) from 2-4 November 2016.

Porta Nova’s presentation
Thursday November 3rd, 14.00-14.30 hrs. @IFTF Auditorium
Red Naomi rose producer Porta Nova shares current results from its large-scale cut rose trial with a hybrid LED/HPS lighting system. Porta Nova’s challenge was to increase light levels without increasing the heat, because high light levels make the greenhouse too warm in the spring, summer and autumn. In their presentation they explain how LEDs have helped them increase light levels in these seasons, without increasing heat. With Philips LEDs, Porta Nova is expecting to grow better, more consistent quality roses, higher yields and precise climate control.
