How many flowers does Croatia really import?

Croatia annually imports 1376 tons of flowers, worth 7.44 million euros, while at the same time they only exported 152 tons, worth 960,000 euros, reports Dalmacija News.

All Saints Day on November 1 has definitely increased the demand for flowers. Last year in October, Croatia imported 128 tons of flowers worth 644,000 euros, while the Croatian exports of flowers was a more modest amount, including only 22 tons, reported the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (CCC) on Sunday.
 
Of the 128 tons of flowers imported in Croatia in October 2015, 105 tons were from the Netherlands. Last year, the import of flowers was already on the rise, and last year in October, Croatia imported five tons more than in October 2014, said the CCC.
 
The CCC also included the fact that Croatia annually imports 1376 tons of flowers, worth 7.44 million euros, while at the same time they only exported 152 tons, worth 960,000 euros.
