Flower Council at FleurEx 2016: Recap

Although Fleurex 2016 was aimed at florists, there is plenty that efig members can take from the show and particularly the trends which the Flower Council presented there.

'We presented three of our four Style Trends for 2017, and we asked Ian Drummond, Gold Medal winner and Best in Show at RHS Chelsea Flower show last year, and of course known to efig in his role as Creative Director at Indoor Garden Design and as our Ambassador.

"Ian was there to interpret the Flower Council's 2017 Style Trends by designing three bouquets for four of the trends. Each one represents the spirit of our times and research shows what consumers and clients will be most drawn to next year. Every year has proven that the trends we identify and work with are popular with consumers and top interior designers, and are reflected in lifestyle glossy magazines and retail stores across Europe.

"We wanted to make florists aware of these consumer trends and how floristry can fit into them.

"This last weekend we presented our bouquets designed by Ian in a setting that matched their trends in a very easy way."
