UK: Flower wholesaler expands in Salford

International flower and plant distribution firm Clog Flower Wholesale Limited is set to establish a new base in Salford.

The 20,000 sq ft unit on building firm Barnfield Construction’s 11.4-acre Evolution scheme at Agecroft Commerce Park in Salford has been handed over to Rawtenstall-based property developer Alden Green, which subsequently pre-let the space to Clog Flower.

The flower company, a subsidiary of Dutch firm CJ Vianen Flowerexport BV, has taken a 10-year lease on the property. The new base is more than double the size of its former premises at Wardley Industrial Estate in Manchester.

Alden Green Commercial Property director Michael Solomon said: “Both myself and my fellow director, Mark Solomon, are delighted with our new unit.

“We have enjoyed working with all of the Barnfield team and in particular John Parkinson, Contracts Manager and John Cotterill, Site Manager on the ground at Evolution."
