New screens are free of dirt and therefore more clear, ensuring a better light output when the screen is closed, which is especially important with energy screens. The screen can stay closed longer, which indirectly also benefits energy savings. For example, a grower recently noted how much difference a new screen can make: after measuring, he discovered that the new screen produced 40 PAR more light (of the required 80 PAR).
