Dutch plant growers build new 9 hectare nursery

Plant growers Van Son & Koot and Baanplant want to start a new, 9 hectare arboriculture company opposite their existing nurseries in Kaatsheuvel, the Netherlands, Dutch newspaper BD reports. About 30 people will be employed at the new nursery.

The company already has 14 hectares of greenhouses and a container field of 5 hectares, on which about 2.5 million plants are produced annually. According to the entrepreneurs, scaling-up would be necessary to maintain their present market position - they supply to several garden centers and building markets.
