Les Exceptionnelles 2018 is a set of annual plants handpicked by the public and a panel of renowned experts for the benefit of home gardeners and horticulture professionals. The eight plants were chosen for their beauty, performance, easy care, and insect and disease resistance.
The 2018 selection offers a great diversity for use in many different situations (specimen plants, companion plants, mass plantings, container gardens and patio pots, for sunny, partial shade and full shade conditions, in various colors – yellow, orange, indigo, rose - and with varied foliage). Japanese Beetles (Popillia japonica) have been very present in Daniel A. Séguin Trial Garden but these awarded plants have not been affected.
