Anderson MacGyver guide Royal FloraHolland IT spending

Last week it was announced that Royal FloraHolland had selected Conclusion as their partner to support their digital strategy. As a part of the long collaboration agreement, the IT service provider will modernise and control the primary IT processes and the application landscape for the flower auction organisation. The selection of a suitable partner for Royal FloraHolland was guided by Anderson MacGyver.

Anderson MacGyver has been one of the set advisers for strategic questions in the area of technology and organisation for Royal FloraHolland for over four years now. Earlier initiatives in which Anderson MacGyver was a guide include spending on generic IT and telephones, designing the new Business Technology Organisation (BTO) for the company and various strategic advise courses for the CDO, including setting up the digital road map.

Central to the flower auction organisation's new digital strategy is the transformation towards a digital market place for flowers and plants. With over 100,000 transactions per day and 400,000 kinds of flowers and plants the cooperation is the largest physical market place for decorative plants in the world. But set against the far reaching international digitising and the challengers who are looking for ways to disrupt the market with new technology and business models, Royal FloraHolland aims to take on the same prime position in the digital world.
