UK: Bransford Webbs pleased with first Proven Winners year
Proven Winners is the no. 1 selling brand in the US, established for over 25 years and renowned for its quality, reliability and innovation within plants and plant breeding. All plants in the Proven Winners range have distinctive attributes to flowering, foliage, disease resistance and habit.
A wide range of plants were grown and supplied into centres from May – August, featuring three Buddleja – including the new ‘Blue Chip Jr’ and ‘Pink Microchip’, three Spiraea developed for their foliage and flower colour, a range of eight Hydrangea and a stunning pink flowering Hibiscus, ‘Sugar Tip’.
For 2018 the selection is set to increase, offering a wider range of plants over a longer period to garden centres and will include, Abelia ‘Pinky Bells’, Deutzia ‘Yuki Cherry Blossom & Snowflake’, Physocarpus ‘Tiny Wine’, Sambucus ‘Lemony Lace’ and three new Hydrangea. Also due to be launched in 2018, is the sensational Buddleja ‘Rocketstar’ in three colours – a new and exclusive variety with a compact growth habit and huge flowers. There are positive plans in place for future lines to be introduced beyond 2018.
