Last week the former chairman (Mr. Nicolaas Ruiten) of the greenhouse horticulture association in the Netherlands stepped down. His board was looking for a suitable gift to offer to Mr. Ruiten at his farewell reception. Because he is known to be a real fern lover, his board asked Vitro Plus to name a new fern after Nico.
At his farewell reception Mr. Nicolaas Ruiten baptized his own new fern, that is called Nicolas Diamond from now on. We choose for an international name, because we have a lot of customers abroad. Diamond is translated literally, and known from card games like poker and bridge. We expect this new species to be added to our assortment in about 1 year from now. Let us know if you want to be put on our waiting list for this variety.
