UK: Fleurie Nursery joins Tristram Plants

After many years building up a very successful nursery, Chris and Martine Tellwright have sold the operating company, Fleurie Nursery Limited to Mike Tristram. Chris and Martine had both formerly worked for David Tristram at Walberton Nursery, so selling Fleurie to his son Mike is a bit like keeping it in the family.

“I am delighted to be securing Fleurie’s future as one of the Tristram Plants nurseries”, said Mike. “Fleurie has long been a leading nursery in the Farplants Group, with a very talented team. Steve Carter joins our strategic leadership board, alongside fellow directors Marc Jones and Martin Emmett.”

Marc Jones, who became joint Managing Director for Walberton and Binsted nurseries a year ago, will now be MD of all three businesses. “Together, Fleurie, Walberton and Binsted make up 67% of the Farplants Group’s production,” said Marc. “All of our garden plants are sold and shipped by our Farplants Sales company to UK garden centres. We’re very proud of what we all do. With our new Tristram Plants team strengths, we’ll be better equipped to keep on improving.”
