India: Andhra flower biz bound to bloom overseas

Flowers from Andhra Pradesh will shortly make a mark in the international markets. Sri Anjaneya Poola Varthaka Rythu Market, a Mutual-aided Cooperative Society of Kadiyapu Lanka, East Godavari, with the financial and logistic support from the Department of Horticulture is constructing a wholesale market with modern facilities in East Godavari district.

With the coastal shipping beginning its operations from Visakhapatnam Port Trust, flower growers and merchants are in an upbeat mood. The Visakhapatnam Container Terminal provides air-conditioned facilities for exporting the most perishable goods.
