US (WI): High school greenhouse roof collapses in blizzard

Outside Pulaski High School a greenhouse soon to be torn down - after its roof buckled under two feet of snow.

“The alarms we have in the greenhouse let us know something had happened,” said Principal Jeremy Pach. “They sent us over right away Sunday morning during the middle of the storm.”

Destroying four months of work for FFA students who were growing plants for the groups many fundraisers.

“The greenhouse is probably totaled and all our plants, all the hard work students have put in here this season and seasons past, is gone,” said Kaleb Santy, a teacher at the high school.

Santy says it's a huge blow for over 800 students who use the greenhouse to grow plants and as a classroom and lab for a number of different agriculture education curriculum.
