India: Assam to make vegetables and flowers centre commercially viable

Looking for steps to make the ‘Centre of Excellence for Vegetables and Flowers’ located in Khetri, near Guwahati (India), self-sustainable, the Assam Government in association with Department of Horticulture and Food Processing, Assam is also planning to make the Centre commercially viable.

This was stated in a press release issued by Mowsam Hazarika, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Directorate of Agriculture, Khanapara, Guwahati.

The Centre will act as a demonstrating unit with the world’s latest technology from Israel, Holland and other countries in place.
