Colombia has a new president and during his inauguration on August 7, flowers were the center piece. A huge flower wall was placed in the middle of the “ Plaza de Bolivar“ where the new president swore to defend the Colombian constitution. The in total 15,000 stems of flowers were donated by Asocolflores and Flowers of Colombia.

The wall consisted of many varieties, including roses, chrysanthemums, carnations, alstroemerias and dianthus Green Balls. And they were all grown by growers in Colombia.
Lourdes Reyes of Ball Seed was very happy to see their variety Green Ball Dianthus on the wall and sent in a picture of the wall that she took while watching it on television. The flowers form a colorful decor and filled up the entire television screen.
