In a move to promote industry collaboration, National Garden Bureau, Perennial Plant Association and All-America Selections are teaming up to host a 2019 meeting in the city of Chicago, Illinois and the surrounding suburbs.
With a motto of “Urbs in Horto” (Latin meaning “City in a Garden”) Chicago is a perfect destination for three major industry associations to explore gardens relevant to all interests. The meeting will take place the week of July 29, 2019 with the Crowne Plaza hotel in Rosemont, IL (conveniently located near Chicago’s O’Hare airport) serving as the host hotel.
In 2019, each organization has reason to celebrate their long history serving the industry and their respective members. PPA, founded in 1984 will be 35 years old, AAS, founded in 1932 will be 87 years old and the oldest organization of the three, NGB, is celebrating 99 years in 2019.
2019 also holds significance in that will be the year the first winners from the AAS Herbaceous Perennial Trial, that was launched in 2015 in partnership with PPA, will be announced during the Symposium.
