Horticoop takes over Bloom Trade Center

Horticoop invests in a new platform that facilitates a direct connection between growers and florists. “The takeover of Bloom trade Center, the organization exploiting the online purchasing platform BloomCoop, fits in the vision of Horticoop to, together with chain partners, develop knowledge and innovation and to make this useable for the cultivation and questions of our customers”, said Igo Janssen, managing director of Horticoop.

Thanks to a smart technological access way, BloomCoop offers access to an assortment of over 3,000 growers to florists. On any given moment florists can check the offer and prices and make direct online purchases on www.bloomcoop.florist

The platform offers the chance to differentiate on the market with niche-products to both the grower and the florist. The presence of suppliers of floristry supplies makes BloomCoop into a one-stop-shop solution. Florists can buy flowers, plants, and hardware for a good price and in an effective and transparent way.

The takeover by Horticoop is what makes the realization of the ambitious BloomCoop possible. The ambition of BloomCoop is offering an independent and their own platform on which not only Dutch but also foreign florists can buy directly from the source. The florist can also make use of the additional services and set their own standards for the craftsmanship and entrepreneurship. This is what makes the start-up BloomCoop extremely relevant for a wider market and international extension.
