There will soon be a safety system in the Netherlands with plastic sleeves that will be recommended to all suppliers who stack Danish trolleys. So this will include suppliers from abroad, for example from Germany, who send supplies to the Netherlands. Specialist journalist Katrin Klawitter asked the members of the relevant Dutch task force about it.
The stacking of CC-containers with 110 cm posts is normally carried out during transportation to the retailer. However, the 110 cm post is not a standard CC article but is provided by other suppliers. “Several companies are currently working on container connection element in order to stack CC-trolleys”. Anyone who contacts Container Centralen and asks for a system to be tested will receive an evaluation.
The stacking of containers with 180 cm posts, however, usually either takes place at the production facility, in order to save space, for example in cooling units. This use demands a more stable connecting element than the 110 cm post. Container Centralen is currently trying to bring manufacturers and retailers into contact with one another in order to get the safety solutions onto the market as quickly as possible.
“We also have our own solution for retailers with the Danish trolleys with half the pallet dimensions”, says the communications expert. This pool article can be used safely without additional connections because it is certified for use in stacking operations.
